Youth Leader AGES 5 - 12

Summary

Attend to children ages 4 - 12 in a before and after school setting. Perform a variety of tasks, such as getting children off school bus. Providing after school tutoring. Must be available when schools are closed and during summer for summer camp..

Duties

• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Keep records on individual children, including daily observations.
• Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
• Help children with homework and school work.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as wiping down eating areas, dumping trash.
• Accompany children to and from outings.
• Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children.
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance.
• Organize and participate in recreational activities such as games and field trips.
