Summary

will assist both the preschool and toddler classrooms, supporting teachers during transitions, activities, and daily routines as needed. This role provides flexible support to ensure smooth classroom operations and a positive experience for all children.

Duties

1. Assist preschool and toddler classrooms as needed.
2. Support children during transitions between activities (e.g., meals, nap, outdoor play).
3. Help with setup and cleanup of classroom activities and materials.
4. Supervise children to ensure safety and proper behavior.
5. Support teachers with individual or small group instruction.
6. Encourage social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions.
7. Assist with diapering, toileting, and handwashing routines in the toddler classroom.
8. Monitor and report any behavioral, developmental, or health concerns to lead teachers.
9. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
10. Provide backup coverage for teachers during breaks, meetings, or absences.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children.
3. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
4. Ability to assist in multiple classrooms and adapt to changing needs.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
6. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
7. Ability to follow center policies, procedures, and state regulations.
8. Ability to lift, carry, and engage with children as needed.
9. Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
