Summary
will assist both the preschool and toddler classrooms, supporting teachers during transitions, activities, and daily routines as needed. This role provides flexible support to ensure smooth classroom operations and a positive experience for all children.
Duties
- Assist preschool and toddler classrooms as needed.
- Support children during transitions between activities (e.g., meals, nap, outdoor play).
- Help with setup and cleanup of classroom activities and materials.
- Supervise children to ensure safety and proper behavior.
- Support teachers with individual or small group instruction.
- Encourage social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and handwashing routines in the toddler classroom.
- Monitor and report any behavioral, developmental, or health concerns to lead teachers.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Provide backup coverage for teachers during breaks, meetings, or absences.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to assist in multiple classrooms and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow center policies, procedures, and state regulations.
- Ability to lift, carry, and engage with children as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
