Teacher Substitute for Preschool (2 - 5 years)

Summary

Bayside Baptist Weekday Preschool is looking for a substitute teacher for all classes, ages 2 - 5 years, for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. If you enjoy providing high quality learning experiences to little minds, helping them discover the amazing world God created, we want to meet you! This position is flexible allowing substitutes to create their own schedule. School is in session Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 1:45pm, September - May.

Substitutes support teachers in executing a variety of hands-on learning activities that promote early writing, language, and math skills. All teachers encourage students to grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually through quality interactions with peers, teachers, and God's Word.

Duties

• Support teachers in executing a variety of hands-on learning activities
• Provide for the physical safety and well-being of each child
• Maintain strict student and family confidentiality
• Encourage student growth and participation
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, students, and the community

Requirements

• Passionate about working with young children
• Positive, encouraging work ethic
• Timely and regular adherence to established work schedules
• Ability to maintain confidential files and information
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, colleagues, students, parents and community
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete all necessary background checks
• Become certified in CPR/First Aid

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education or related field
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification
