The Riverfront Children's Center, a non profit Early Childhood Education/care program, is looking for enthusiastic staff members to work with Early Childhood Education and Care classrooms.

As a Floater Teacher, you will support Early Childhood Education/Care classrooms by:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Candidates must pass required state background check
Demonstrated experience working with children or excellent customer service
Upon hire must have documentation of a physical examination, to be repeated every two years
Have or obtain CT child first aid and Infant/Child CPR certification
Have or obtain Medication Administration certification
Continue professional development and attend all center sponsored trainings .
Ability to lift up to 45lbs and to bend, kneel, squat and sit on floor
Available to work 40 hours per week/52 weeks per year
Riverfront Children's Center requires staff to be available from 6:00AM – 5:00PM, for an 8 hour shift, to cover center operational hours
Willingness to enroll in an Associates Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Related field (tuition scholarships available through OEC)
Experience working in center based early childhood programs
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers, parents and children
Strong computer skills
Knowledge of Teaching Strategies and Tadpoles
Knowledge of Ages and Stages
Ability to work as a team member
