Wheatley Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Montessori Teacher for the Toddler classroom (ages 1-3). The ideal candidate embraces the Montessori Philosophy and brings warmth, leadership and a deep respect for our dynamic learning environment.

Duties

• Alignment with organizational mission and values
• Lead and manage a Montessori Primary classroom in accordance with AMI/AMS standards
• Passion for the Montessori pedagogy
• Prepare a thoughtful, engaging and orderly environment to support each child’s development
• Observe, access and support individual learning journeys through detailed record-keeping
• Collaborate with classroom assistants and school leadership to ensure a nurturing and cohesive experience
• Communicate regularly with classroom assistants and school leadership to ensure a nurturing and cohesive experience
• Communicate regularly with parents; fostering strong school-family partnerships
• Participate in staff meetings, school events and ongoing professional development
• Create and implement Montessori-aligned lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of children

Requirements

AMS or AMI Certification in Early Childhood Education (Primary Ages 2.5-5)
