Summary
Desert Spring is seeking full-time teachers for the Fall 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for energetic, positive, and team-oriented educators to join our team. Ideal candidates have experience working with young children, a passion for early childhood education, and a commitment to creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster warm, respectful, and compassionate communication with children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design engaging indoor and outdoor classroom environments that promote exploration, independence, and peer-to-peer learning.
- Observe and document children’s learning experiences to highlight their growth and foster reflection.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support during play, exploration, and creative activities.
- Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, potty training, meals, and rest periods.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and well-being.
- Communicate regularly with parents through Procare, email, and virtual meetings as needed.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide events.
- Maintain professional requirements through the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry.
- Keep current fingerprint clearance and TB testing records.
Requirements
- Minimum one year working in childcare setting
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to lead and work with an assistant teacher
- Two to three professional references
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity or experience in a Reggio inspired school
- Familiarity or experience in child-lead environments, such as Montessori or Waldorf
- Knowledge of Quality First assessment process
- Experience working with a designated Quality First coach
- Coursework or degree in early childhood education or similar field
