All instruction will be In-Person (this position is not Virtual). This role is for K-8 Academic Teachers with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Candidates must have minimum qualifications to be considered. Interviews are done via on-site interview - no exceptions.

  • Strong professional presence at all times when dealing with students, staff, and parents
  • Facility is masked (optional); however, must use cautionary techniques throughout each working day, M-F (no exceptions)
  • Ability to genuinely engage with all students and promote positive encouragement

The roles and descriptions have varying pay scales, based on qualifications.

Selected candidates should prepare for a face-to-face, onsite interview and a Rubric & Planning presentation.

*Required skills candidates must have for this position: Classroom Planning from scratch. Candidate must have current academic education, experience working in an educational classroom, and have provided direct instruction to students in a K-5 environment (no exceptions).


All positions below will involve working collaboratively with students ages 5-18 in an academic classroom. Teachers will work with learners who possess full-scale 'average intelligence'; however, they may learn differently.

All positions require a clean personal background, Driving History, CPR certification, criminal background check, and maintaining a professional demeanor while working with staff, students, and parents (at all times).

*Note - We will consider Education majors in their last semester of class, with transcript credits that are verified.

Duties

  • Teachers will prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration
  • Teachers instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
  • Teachers will have current knowledge and ability to create a Rubric for student success
  • Teachers will assign and grade class work and homework.
  • Teachers will prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
  • Teachers will confer with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
  • Teachers will meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and to determine priorities for their children and their resource needs.
  • Teachers will maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
  • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.
  • Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
  • Read books to entire classes or small groups.
  • Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.
  • Guide and counsel students with adjustment or academic problems, or special academic interests.
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
  • Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools.
  • Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
  • Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
  • Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
  • Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students' needs and progress.
  • Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
  • Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of elementary school programs.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
  • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
  • Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.
  • Organize and label materials and display students' work.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on committees, as required.
  • Administer standardized ability and achievement tests and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for teacher assistants and volunteers.
  • Involve parent volunteers and older students in children's activities to facilitate involvement in focused, complex play.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as assisting in school libraries, hall and cafeteria monitoring, and bus loading and unloading.
  • Select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Provide students with assistive devices, supportive technology, and assistance accessing facilities, such as restrooms.
  • Sponsor extracurricular activities, such as clubs, student organizations, and academic contests.

Requirements

Requirements (Please only apply if you meet the minimum requirements listed)

  • All candidates must display accurate knowledge and experience of daily planning protocol, chunking/scaffolding, and the ability to present materials in a way that is clear for understanding. Creating a Rubric is required for each candidate.
  • All candidates must have proficient use of MS Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Google Products such as Sheets are required.

Benefits

Contract position for a (Probationary Period) of 90 days

Benefits (after the probationary period) include:

Paid Employee Birthday (if it falls on a weekday while in school)

6 Federal Paid Holidays (aligns with In-School Calendar)

Hours 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM with Fridays 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM

3-day (Tu, Wed, Thurs) 7-week summer schedule (2 weeks PAID hiatus)

Flexible hours based on class schedule

No weekends
