Summary

Heather’s Little Angels is a joyful, play‑based preschool and childcare center where curiosity, creativity, and kindness guide every day. We are looking for a dedicated, energetic, and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our team and support our 3–5‑year‑olds as they grow, explore, and build the foundations for lifelong learning.

Duties

Curriculum & Learning

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that support early literacy, math, science, and social‑emotional learning

- Create hands‑on, engaging activities that encourage creativity, problem‑solving, and independence

- Incorporate music, movement, art, and sensory play into daily routines

- Observe and document children’s progress, milestones, and emerging skills


🤝 Classroom Community

- Foster a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported

- Model positive behavior, emotional regulation, and respectful communication

- Support children in developing friendships, cooperation, and conflict‑resolution skills

- Maintain a classroom that is organized, inviting, and reflective of children’s interests


💬 Family & Team Collaboration

- Communicate daily with families about activities, behaviors, and developmental updates

- Build strong relationships with parents through openness, professionalism, and trust

- Work collaboratively with coworkers to maintain a positive, team‑oriented environment

- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and center events


🛡️ Safety & Compliance

- Follow all state licensing regulations, center policies, and health/safety procedures

- Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and required documentation

- Ensure proper supervision and safe classroom practices at all times

Requirements

Experience working with preschool‑aged children in a childcare or early education setting

- Understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice

- Strong communication skills and a warm, patient, playful demeanor

- Ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage with young children

- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Completion of state‑required background checks and trainings
