Summary

A preschool teacher is responsible for educating and caring for young children, ages 3-5, in a safe and nurturing environment. Plan and lead age appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and early academic development. Observe and assess children's progress, encourage positive behavior, and help develop routines and independence. Also get them ready and prepared for elementary school.

Duties

• Make lesson plans
• create a safe , supportive and engaging learning environment
• assess and monitor students progress
• communicate with parents and have parent teacher conferences
• follow schools policies
