Childcare Teacher

Summary

Christ Community Childcare is seeking a caring and dependable Part-Time Lead Teacher to join our afternoon team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while leading the classroom during the afternoon hours. This position works closely with other staff to ensure that each child’s needs are met and that the daily schedule runs smoothly.

Duties

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, and developmental growth.
• Lead the classroom during afternoon routines, including snack, outdoor play, activities, and pick-up communication with family's.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with staff, children, and families in a respectful and professional manner.
• Support and model positive behavior management strategies.
• Ensure classroom organization and cleanliness at the end of the day.
• Follow all center policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.
• Complete required daily documentation and assist with transitions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable, with a passion for inspiring young minds and fostering a love of learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
