Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, patient, and nurturing Two-Year-Old Classroom Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for implementing daily curriculum activities, supporting the social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development of toddlers, and ensuring a safe, clean, and loving classroom environment. The teacher will work collaboratively with a co-teacher to plan and manage the classroom, providing consistent care and individualized attention for each child. The ideal candidate has a heart for early childhood education, strong communication skills, and a desire to make a meaningful, lasting impact on young learners.

Duties
- Create and maintain a consistent daily routine appropriate for two-year-old children
- Implement and adapt the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum to meet the individual developmental needs of each child
- Foster an inclusive, engaging classroom culture that promotes learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that complies with Texas Rising Star standards and all state licensing requirements
- Observe, assess, and document children’s growth, development, and learning milestones
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, families, and team members
- Communicate regularly with parents through daily reports, conferences, and informal check-ins
- Support toilet training in a respectful, developmentally appropriate manner and assist with diapering as needed
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including Texas Rising Star–required training
- Collaborate with co-teachers and center staff to ensure a cohesive, supportive classroom environment
Requirements
- Must meet Texas Child Care Licensing requirements for teaching staff
- Experience working with toddlers, preferably in a childcare or early learning setting
- Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential (Preferred but not required)
- Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Preferred but not required)
