Duties

1. Design, plan, and implement the classroom program and daily activities. Write weekly lesson plans and appropriate IEPs.
2. Prepare and plan teaching materials to be utilized
3. Maintain a safe and orderly environment
4. Supervise activities for all children throughout the entire day.
5. Monitor and evaluate each child’s physical, social, and emotional developmental domains and make referrals when necessary.
6. Maintain current, up-to-date records of each child’s development
7. Plan, Implement and Document adequate educational home visits with parents twice a year for each child in the group
8. Work cooperatively with the Assistant Teacher to plan, coordinate, and implement the education plan.
9. Plan and carry out room arrangements, curriculum, lesson plans, and enrichment activities for each child’s development.

Requirements

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
2. Ga PDS account with a Career Level of 8 or higher
3. Thorough knowledge of preschool children’s stages and levels of development
4. At least three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience with children three (3) to five (5) years of age.
