Full time Teacher Assistant | Infant/Toddler

Summary

Clayton Early Childhood Center is seeking an educator with experience and passion for the education of young children. Our infant classrooms have eight children enrolled and we are seeking a third, full-time educator for the classroom. Our ratios for most of the school day exceed the state requirement, allowing for individualized attention and experiences for our students.

Teacher Assistants collaborate with Lead Teachers to implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs, help maintain proper supervision and ratio, and build strong relationships with students in their care. Teacher Assistants are an intricate part of the classroom, ensuring children are safe and receiving high-quality early childhood services. 

Clayton Early Childhood Center, located in Oak Knoll Park and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Duties

• Supporting supervision policies and practices
• Ensure that each child's needs are met throughout the day
• Communicating with other classroom teachers and families
• Provide support to the classroom to help execute developmental experiences
• Assist in documenting daily requirements and developmental milestones

 

Requirements

Prior to employment, completing the following:

• Physical
• TB Test
• Background Screening
• Fingerprinting Screening
• Drug Test

Once employed:

• Maintaining required professional development hours
• Sitting on the floor/ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid
• Certification in Safe Sleep Practices
