Before Care Teacher for Preschool

Summary

The before care teacher position is from 7:00-9:00 am and supports the director and teachers by opening the school and helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children during our Before Care program. Must be reliable. Canidate must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Perfect for a college student, retiree, parent or anyone looking to start their day with lots of love! Additional hours may be available. September-June. The position follows the Bridgewater School district calendar.

Duties

·       Actively engage in activities, manage cleanliness and availability of classroom materials.

·       Maintain communications with parents through informal discussions and engagement app.

·       Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.

·       Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to preschool.

·       Follow all center policies and state regulations.

·       Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

·       Assist with drop-off and ensure a safe environment during these times. 

Requirements

•  High energy.
•  Ability to work well with others.
•  Strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills.
•  An understanding of child development.
•  Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (will help to obtain).
•  Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. 
• High School Diploma or GED
• Early childhood: 1 year (Preferred)
