We’re looking for a warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our team at Brotman Early Learning Center! We are a play-based, year-round program serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our days are active, joyful, and full of discovery—and we’re seeking a leader who enjoys guiding little learners while supporting a strong classroom team.
Our Infant-to-Waddler Transition Classroom (ages 1–1.5) is a very special space where children begin to gain independence, confidence, and curiosity. As the Lead Teacher, you’ll create a safe, loving, and engaging environment that supports early development through responsive caregiving, intentional play, and meaningful routines. These children thrive with teachers who provide comfort, consistency, and warmth—and who are excited to be on the floor, engaged in play, and celebrating every milestone.

This classroom operates as a team of two, and the Lead Teacher plays a key role in planning curriculum, guiding daily routines, and mentoring the Assistant Teacher. You’ll work closely with administration and families to support each child’s individual needs and developmental growth.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Initial ECE cert or working towards it
1 year experience with childcare
Must be 18+
Must be able to pass the DCYF background check
Be reliable and show up on time to assigned shift
Must enjoy children
1+ years of experience or infants or waddler age
Short cert or higher in ECE
Medical/Dental premium reimbursement (up to $300/mth)
9-10 Paid Holidays/Year
5 paid vacation days upon your 6mth anniversary
10 paid vacation days/yr (starting at your first anniversary)
Paid Winter Break (Dec. 24-Jan 2)
Free ECE training/certificates through Clover Park Community College
