Lead Infant Teacher

Summary

Anna’s Little Bananas Childcare Center is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You will lead a small classroom, guide and mentor assistant teachers, communicate with families, and ensure all care routines and learning activities meet our high standards and OCFS regulations.

Duties

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to foster growth and development in infants (6 weeks–12 months)
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
• Track developmental milestones and daily routines, including feeding, sleeping, and diapering
• Build strong relationships with families, providing updates and guidance on their child’s progress
• Lead, supervise, and mentor assistant teachers in the classroom
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and center policies

Requirements

• Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
• Knowledge of infant development and best practices in early childhood education
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• 18 years or older
• CDA or at least 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education
