Duties

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for children.
• Monitor and assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support children's growth.
• Utilize various teaching strategies to engage children in active learning.
• Incorporate play-based learning techniques to enhance children's educational experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and program effectiveness.

Requirements

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with young children in an educational setting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of CT ELDS and DOTS
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.

• Experience with Emergent Curriculum
• Experience with Loose Parts Play
• Knowledge of NAEYC Developmentally Appropriate Practice
