Summary

Attend to children at a childcare program. Perform a variety of tasks, such as playground supervision, crafts, and meal preparation.

Duties

• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment..
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
• Help children with homework and school work.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as washing dishes, wiping tables, sweeping floors and sanitizing areas at the end of the day
• Maintain a safe play environment.
• Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
• Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children.
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance.
• Participate in recreational activities and outings, such as games and field trips.
• Provide care for children with special needs.
