We are looking for an afternoon Pre-K Teacher from 3:00 to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Arrive in the afternoon after snack, supervise free play/projects, outside and then a late snack and free play as we close the school for the day. (Can substitute for other teachers for more hours)
We are participating in the Early Achievers Program and teachers can apply for scholarships in ECE.

Director Katrina Brooke has worked at The Shyne School since 2002 when her oldest son was two years old. Her youngest son also attended starting in 2006 at the age of two. Katrina started working in the childcare field at the age of 16 as an Aide and has held the positions of Assistant, Lead Assistant, Lead (8 yrs.), Program Supervisor (8 yrs.) and Director (25+ yrs.). She understands how important each position is to providing quality care for students and the respect needed for teachers. She attended U of W, North Seattle Collage and Lake WA Tech. The Shyne School has seen core teachers work for 2 to 27 years.

Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing.
Must be obtained before employment:
Have or working on a degree in Early Childhood Education.
