Summary
Maui Preparatory Academy is looking for an Assistant Coach for its Girls' Varsity Basketball team. This role is for a passionate leader who will oversee all aspects of the program, focusing on developing student-athletes both on and off the court.

Duties
- Participate and manage all aspects of the Girls' Varsity Basketball program, including practice planning, game strategies, and player development.
- Cultivate a positive and disciplined team environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
- Mentor student-athletes, emphasizing academic success, personal growth, and strong character.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director to schedule games, manage equipment, and oversee team logistics.
- Engage with parents, school administration, and the booster club to foster strong community support for the program.
- Participate in fundraising efforts and community outreach initiatives to enhance the basketball program.
- Adhere to all school, league, and state athletic association rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Prior coaching experience at the high school varsity level or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective basketball strategies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- A proven track record of fostering a positive team culture and developing student-athletes.
- Commitment to academic excellence and character development among athletes.
- High School Graduation required; teaching certification or advanced degree preferred.
