Summary
Looking for a lead teacher for a classroom with children ages roughly 5-7. Classroom can have up to 14 children, although often has less. Hours are Monday-Thursday 3pm-545pm, Friday 1pm-545pm. Full days when there is not school. Full time 40 hours week, during the summer.
Duties
- Communicate with parents and co-workers about children behaviors and development.
- Observe and record significant behavior of children.
- Complete related paperwork and maintain records/files of children.
- Maintain classroom materials and supplies.
- Use knowledge and understanding of children's development to offer an age-appropriate learning environment.
- Plan and provide daily routine that is relaxed, positive, and developmentally appropriate.
- Show awareness of individual needs and help children learn to satisfy them.
- Plan and implement the program curriculum through lesson plans.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or its equivalent as determined by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
- Two non-credit department approved courses in early childhood education or two courses for credit in early childhood education or its equivalent prior to assuming the position and get enrolled in the next available credential program or associate degree program.
- Must have at least 240 hours of experience in early childhood setting.
- Must be level 7 or higher in Wisconsin Registry
