Summary
We are currently interviewing and hiring energetic, creative, and loving teachers, assistants, and aides to join our teaching team as soon as possible.
This position is pool-based and will remain open. Positions include infant, toddler, preschool (age 2.5-4), and PreK (age 4-5) rooms.
This position is specifically for a Teacher Assistant.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday and flexible between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM. We offer a predictable and routine schedule weekly.

Duties
Duties Include:
- Collaborating with Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines
- Communicating with families both verbally and in writing
- Active engagement with students and participation in classroom activities at all times
- Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms
- Provide basic needs for children
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
- Track childrens’ progress and report to parents
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom
- Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
- Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
- Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures
Requirements
Preservice requirements:
- Be at least eighteen years old;
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Create an account with MERIT Workforce Registry: https://apps.dcyf.wa.gov/MERIT/Home/SignInRegister
- Clear department background check
- A negative TB symptom screen and negative TB risk assessment
Required after hiring:
- First Aid and CPR Certification;
- STARS Child Care Basics course;
- Food Handlers Permit
- Country Acres Orientation Training (provided on site)
