We are seeking a caring, patient, and collaborative Assistant Teacher to support our infant and toddler classrooms. The ideal candidate is deeply attuned to the needs of our youngest learners and embraces a calm, responsive approach to caregiving.
You’ll work in close partnership with a Lead Teacher and report to the Center Director, contributing to a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment where babies and toddlers feel safe, seen, and supported.
Duties
- Support the creation of a calm, safe, and responsive classroom environment
- Assist in implementing Reggio Emilia-inspired experiences tailored to infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive, respectful care including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Observe and document children’s developmental milestones and interests
- Foster secure, trusting relationships with children through consistent and nurturing interactions
- Encourage sensory-rich play and exploration that supports early brain development
- Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and hygiene
- Partner with families through daily communication and ongoing engagement
- Assume classroom responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Teacher
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and reflective practice
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the classroom and center

- Infant/Toddler CDA
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages)
- First Aid & CPR Certification
