Assistant Infant teacher

Summary

Family Tree Ministry is seeking a patient and dependable Assistant Infant Teacher to support our faith-based program for children ages 6 weeks–12 months. You will help nurture and care for infants, supporting their growth through daily routines, play, and loving interaction in a Christ-centered environment.

Duties

1. Provide attentive care through feeding, diapering, and comforting infants.
2. Support safe sleep practices and maintain a calm, nurturing atmosphere.
3. Engage infants in age-appropriate activities such as songs, reading, and play to encourage early development.
4. Assist in keeping the classroom clean, sanitized, and organized.
5. Partner with the lead teacher to follow individualized care plans.
6. Communicate daily with parents and staff regarding each child’s needs and progress.

Requirements

1. Must be at least 20 years of age.
2. High school diploma or equivalent; additional early childhood training preferred.
3. Previous experience caring for infants in a professional or volunteer setting.
4. Ability to follow safety and health guidelines, including safe sleep practices.
5. Strong communication, teamwork skills, and take directions from lead teacher.
6. Commitment to working in a faith-based, Christ-centered environment.
