Description

Summary

Oak Leaf School is a Reggio-Inspired early childhood education program serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Located in Fayetteville, GA, we are committed to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and community in every child.

We are seeking experienced, energetic, and compassionate educators to join our team in the preschool classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting young children’s play, inquiry, exploration, and creativity while fostering critical thinking and social-emotional growth.

At Oak Leaf, our intentionally low staff-to-child ratios allow educators to build meaningful, nurturing relationships with each child. We believe teachers are co-learners and collaborators, guiding children’s natural sense of wonder while creating engaging learning environments that reflect their interests and developmental needs.

Duties

At Oak Leaf School, teaching is more than a job—it’s an adventure in curiosity, creativity, and connection! As a two-year-old classroom educator, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that inspires little learners every day. Here’s what you’ll get to do:

  • Bring Standards to Life – Keep our classroom environment in line with BFTS and QR standards while making it safe, playful, and full of joy.
  • Shine as a Role Model – Show off your best teaching practices and set a positive, fun, and collaborative tone that makes learning irresistible.
  • Build Partnerships – Communicate openly with parents, administration, and teammates to create supportive and trusting relationships.
  • Care with Heart – Provide warm, individualized care for each child while maintaining a clean, cozy, and welcoming classroom (yes, family-style meals included!).
  • Create Wonder – Design daily provocations and engaging invitations that spark curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
  • Collaborate and Imagine – Work with your classroom team to dream up group investigations that build skills, spark play, and foster friendships.
  • Celebrate Children’s Voices – Document learning through photos, weekly blog posts, and portfolios that showcase children’s discoveries and ideas.
  • Guide with Positivity – Model and support positive guidance strategies to help children thrive socially and emotionally.
  • Keep Growing – Participate in reflective supervision, welcome feedback, and seek out new learning opportunities to keep your teaching fresh and inspired.
  • Join the Fun – Be part of school-wide activities like professional development, family events, field trips, celebrations, and special projects!

What We’re Looking For

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with emergent curriculum and relationship-based learning.
  • A CDA/TCC credential (or a plan to pursue continuing education with our support).
  • Hands-on experience working with preschoolers (3-5 years of age) in a childcare setting.
  • A positive attitude, playful energy, and a passion for seeing the world through a child’s eyes.
