About the Role

As a Float Teacher, you’ll support classrooms across multiple age groups (infants through preschool or school-age, depending on your qualifications). You’ll assist lead teachers, provide nurturing care, and help maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Step into classrooms as needed to support teachers and maintain staff-to-child ratios
• Supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
• Follow daily routines and classroom schedules
• Assist with mealtimes, diapering/toileting, and cleanup
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with staff, children, and families

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must hold or be eligible for a Wisconsin Childcare License/Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience working with children ages 0–5 preferred
• Flexibility to work in multiple classrooms and adapt to different teaching styles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
