Preschool Teacher Morning Floater

Summary

Growing Preschool Academy has an immediate opening for a Lead Teacher to join our team.

Must be energetic, a team player, and maintain a positive attitude. Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency. Previous experience is preferred.

We are a partner with T.E.A.C.H. Florida Program, and sharing tuition costs and expenses creates buy-in and a commitment to succeed from all sides of the program.

"T.E.A.C.H. is an acronym for Teacher Education And Compensation Helps. The program provides scholarships to early learning and afterschool teachers, directors, family child care home educators, and child care facility owners working towards their Florida Staff Credential, Director Credential, National CDA Assessment, credential renewals, or Associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees in early childhood education. A major goal of T.E.A.C.H. is that it links professional development, increased compensation, and commitment for the Florida early care and education workforce to remain in the field."

Duties

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise children at all times maintaining a secure, safe environment for children to play and learn in.
• Attend ongoing training to keep education and regulations up to date.
• Implement and create lesson plans based on a monthly theme.
• Complete necessary classroom reports.
• Follow the center’s policies, procedures, and regulations and those from DCF.
• Drive the bus (14 passengers) from the elementary schools we serve to our school.

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills:

• Early childhood classroom teaching experience (Desirable).
• Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Must be a team player, able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced environment and make the children’s needs the primary focus.
• Have a love for children and a strong desire to make a difference

Required Education/Certifications:

• High School Diploma
• Staff Credential required for the Lead Teacher position
• 45 DCF Hours required
• CPR and First Aid (can be obtained during job training)
