As a Part‑Time Afterschool Teacher at Kinder Joy, you will provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for school‑age children during after‑school hours. You will facilitate academic support (homework help), enrichment activities, social interaction, and play, while upholding the school’s values of nurturing, intentional teaching, and partnership with families.
Supervise children during the after‑school period, ensuring their safety and well‑being at all times.
Assist students with homework assignments and provide academic support as needed.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate enrichment activities (arts, games, reading, physical activity, etc.).
Organize and lead group and individual activities that support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging cooperation, respect, and healthy peer interaction.
Maintain classroom environment: setting up materials, cleaning up, managing supplies, keeping spaces safe, neat, and welcoming.
Monitor and document student behavior, participation, and progress; communicate with parents or guardians as needed.
Collaborate with other afterschool staff and lead teachers to align on goals, share resources, and maintain program consistency.
Ensure compliance with all Kinder Joy policies, licensing, safety, and health regulations.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field preferred.
Experience working with school‑age children (5‑10 years old), particularly in an afterschool, tutoring, camp, or similar setting.
Strong interpersonal skills: patience, positive attitude, flexibility, strong communication with children, families, and team members.
Ability to plan and implement fun, engaging activities; creativity in enrichment programming.
Good organizational skills, reliability, punctuality.
Certification or willingness to obtain CPR / First Aid / AED.
Clean background check and ability to meet any required licensing or regulatory credentials.
