Summary

Required Skills and Experience

A premier childcare and afterschool enrichment provider, is seeking a seasoned afterschool coordinator to help elevate our programs to the next level. Our ideal candidate is an ethical leader, a proactive go-getter, and a compassionate professional who leads by example and thrives in dynamic environments.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate:

  • A genuine love for children and a strong passion for making a meaningful impact every day.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with families, staff, and children to create a warm, engaging, and educational environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to various situations.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate teams and ensure program excellence.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain promptly upon hire.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Early Childhood Education or Afterschool Programming (preferred).
  • Must meet all state-specific qualifications and licensing requirements for the role.
  • Must be physically capable of:
  • Using a computer with basic proficiency.
  • Lifting at least 25 pounds.
  • Working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Assuming child-level positions (e.g., bending, kneeling) to engage with and supervise children closely.
  • Seeing and hearing clearly to ensure children’s safety.
  • Participating in physical activities alongside children.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.


Duties

  • Implement curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Partner and communicate with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.

Schedule:


  • After school (3:00 pm -6:30pm)
  • Monday to Friday

Requirements

Experience:

2. A combination of afterschool l teaching and actual administration of a child care program

3. Strong written and oral communication skills

4. Strong leadership and supervisory skills

5. Strong knowledge in and ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum

6. Ability to manage calmly through unusual or crisis situations.

7. Strong organizational skills

8. Capacity to understand and manage Academy financial duties

9. Computer literacy required

10. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.

11. Demonstrated sensitivity and responsiveness to needs of parents and staff
