Summary
The Educator/ Assistant Educator supports the classroom and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Implementing Toddler Frog Street Press curriculum to offer a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, the Educator/Educator Assistant observes and documents children's interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff.
This position is M-TH following Williamson County School Calendar and including in service days. Work Hours - 8:30 am - 2:30 pm (MTTH) 8:00 am - 2:30 (W)
Duties
- Implementation of Toddler Frog Street Press curriculum in a center based hands-on classroom.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, communication platform, Parent/Teacher Conferences .
- Encourage self-help, self-regulation and good hygiene practices through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to school
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
- Have a true heart of 2 year olds, our youngest learners!
- Stable, mature, available and able to physical care for active 2 years olds and follow all safety protocols. This includes lifting up to 35 lbs, sitting on the floor and child size chairs.
- Ability to work well with others, including co teacher(s).
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- An understanding of child development, developmental milestones, developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must meet TN DHS required training including pre-service training
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.

About Us
Holy Family Learning Center (HFLC) offers a school year preschool program for children ages 2 - 5 yrs of ages. School Hours 9:15 am - 2:15 pm. HFLC was established in 2001 in the Holy Family Catholic Church to meet the needs of our community for excellence in providing a nurturing, faith based, state licensed (3 star) early childhood program.
Salary : $16.50 to $18.50/Hr
