Full Time Montessori Lead Primary Guide

Summary

Generations Montessori School of Charlottesville is proudly entering our 10th year of nurturing young minds. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Primary Guide to join our close-knit and collaborative team, for Fall 2025.

What We’re Looking For:

• A warm, dependable educator who loves working with preschool-aged children ages 3 to 5 (required)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Montessori experience or training is a plus but not required—we’re willing to train the right candidate!
• A collaborative spirit and passion for child-led learning

Duties

Set up classroom and change out units throughout the year

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times

Exhibit a genuine, nurturing, caring attitude to all students

Create a positive team environment by leading with integrity, offering constructive feedback, and guiding colleagues to meet shared educational goals

Complete at least 16 hours of professional development each year

Be familiar with the regulations set out by the Virginia Department of Social Services

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check

CPR/First Aid certification

MAT certification
