Summary

Duties

To provide a warm, nurturing, and safe learning environment that encourages children to explore and grow.

To direct the children and encourage them in their daily activities.

To promote positive behavior and good social skills with the children by applying consistent techniques following licensing standards

To develop a cooperative and supportive attitude within the school and maintain good communication with parents, teacher assistants, and the Director

To implement an intercultural curriculum that meets the social, physical, and emotional needs of a child

To maintain a classroom environment that upholds the Reggio philosophy

Requirements

At least two years of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program

Relevant education background: CDA, AA, BS/BA in ECE or a child-related field

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Dependable, enthusiastic, and committed

Ability to record significant individual and group behavior.
