We are looking for a qualified staff to lead out UPK classroom
You will be responsible for the care and education of children aged 3-4 who are enrolled in our UPK Program.
Develop lesson plans each week that help children meet academic goals.
Complete TSG (Teaching Strategies Gold) assessments 3 times a year. Once in the fall, winter and spring.
Hold parent teacher conferences as needed after assessments.
Lead classroom activities.
Communicate with parents about children's daily activities and their progress.
Ensure classrooms are neat and tidy after program on a daily basis.
Fulfill other duties assigned by the Director.
Teaching degree (or working towards a degree in Early Childhood)
1 year of experience with children under 6 years old MUST HAVE
Must have a current TB and Physical
Cleared background check and fingerprints indicating ability to work with youth
This is a FULL TIME Position
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communications skills
CPR and First Aid
MAT Trained
Vacation time after 1 year of employment
4 hours of sick time each month starting immediately

The Cortland Child Development Day Care Program began operation in 1974 to provide early care and education for the children of parents who work or attend school.
We are a not-for-profit agency, licensed by the State of New York. Our Programs are available to infants through preschoolers and children needing school-age recreational care on a year-round basis, open many of the days our public schools are closed. Enrollment priority is given to children with special challenges.
