Job Description:

Loving Touch Daycare is seeking an experienced and qualified Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team. Candidates must meet the following strict requirements before applying:

  • CDA Credential (Child Development Associate): Candidates must have a current and updated CDA. Applications from those in the process of obtaining a CDA will not be considered.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Lead Teacher in a classroom setting is required.
  • CPR Certified: Must have current CPR and first aid certifications.
  • Training: Must have up-to-date childcare training certifications.
  • Quality Rated Standards: Must have proficiency and experience in meeting Quality Rated requirements as we prepare for evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a structured curriculum for toddler-aged children.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Rated standards.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and certifications.

Duties

Plan and Implement Curriculum:

  • Create and lead age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddlers.

Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment:

  • Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and promotes a positive learning atmosphere.

Support Developmental Goals:

  • Foster the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of toddlers.

Ensure Compliance with Standards:

  • Follow Quality Rated guidelines and maintain alignment with GELDS standards.

Oversee Daily Routines:

  • Manage meals, nap times, potty training, and transitions efficiently.

Communicate Effectively:

  • Engage with parents and caregivers through Brightwheel to update them on their child’s progress and daily activities.

Keep Certifications Updated:

  • Maintain current CPR, First Aid, and other required childcare training certifications.

Monitor and Document Progress:

  • Track and document each child's developmental milestones and behavior.
