Responsible directly to the Academy Director to provide the efficient administration of the business affairs of the Academy to ensure excellence in financial administration and effective development and implementation of policies and procedures that support productivity and the growth of the Academy.
· Oversee fiscally responsible budgeting and budget to actual analysis
· Ensures appropriate financial accounting controls and procedures are in place that follows regulations and meets all federal, state, and local requirements
· Develop and implement financial policies and procedures and reports to include accounts payable and receivables, capital expenditures, credit purchasing, cash management, and audits
· Provide fiscal reports on a timely basis to ensure informed business and financial administration
· Negotiate vendor contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities
· Create sound internal controls, monitor adherence and develop strategies to mitigate risks
· Perform accounting calculations and computations accurately
· Oversee financial reconciliations (credit card, bank, etc.)
· Oversee processing of accounts payables and receivables
· Oversee Student database and General Ledger integration
· Oversee processing of daily online tuition and school remittance activity
· Oversee vendor relationships
· Oversee Purchase Authorization and procurement process, preapprove requests and monitor all purchases
· Oversee collections process on outstanding student accounts
· Conduct salary surveys to establish competitive pay practices
· Perform accounting calculations and computations accurately
· Assist Director with government and legal reporting requirements
· Assist the Director in developing and implementing a long-range strategic plan
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and/or 3-5 years’ experience
