Preschool Teacher

Summary

Haygood united Methodist Preschool is looking for an Infant Room Co-Teacher will work closely with the other co-teacher to provide a nurturing and safe environment for 4-6 children 6 week to 1 year. They will develop and implement age-appropriate programs and activities, provide guidance to support the physical, mental, and emotional development of the children, and create a positive, caring learning and growing environment.

Duties

• Provide an environment that is safe, positive, nurturing, and respectful of the children
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
• Observe and assess the development of the children
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences
• Maintain proper records, including documenting observations and milestones
• Ensure all safety regulations are followed
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Model appropriate behaviors for children
• Work with a team of teachers to ensure a cohesive and quality learning environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of child development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
• Able to work collaboratively with a team
• Able to maintain records and documentation
• CPR and First-Aid certifications
• Previous experience working with infants or toddlers

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
