We seek a dedicated and passionate Family Services Coordinator to join our Head Start Program. This role is vital in supporting families and ensuring that children receive the necessary resources for development and education. As a Family Services Coordinator, you will collaborate with parents, staff, and community organizations to implement program activities to meet the needs of the families and children in the Content Area. As Center Manager, you will oversee the implementation of Center Operations to ensure compliance and safety with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Family Services Coordinator
- Develop and implement individualized family service plans with Head Start Staff and families that address the unique needs of each family.
- Coordinate all Family Service referrals and follow-up.
- Conduct outreach to engage families and encourage participation in program activities.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on parenting, early childhood development, and available community resources.
- Oversee Family Services staff to ensure accurate records are entered into Child Plus, such as up-to-date attendance, family services provided, and monitoring of family progress.
- Create accurate and complete monthly reports utilizing information in Child Plus
- Serve as a liaison between families and various service providers, ensuring seamless access to health, education, and social services.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other coordinators to support the children and families in the Program.
- Create Pre-Service and In-Service training for staff
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Direct the staff in recruitment, screening, and enrollment of eligible children.
- Assist in recruiting, training, assigning, and scheduling parent volunteers.
Key Responsibilities: Center Manager
- Manages and Directs all Center/Facility day-to-day operations to ensure that it is safe, secure, and well-maintained
- Routinely inspects and keeps records of center/facility for health, safety, fire, and occupation violations and takes necessary corrective actions.
- Routine daily walks around the building to provide and ensure active supervision inside and outside of classrooms; ensure all health and safety practices that keep children safe are followed at all times.
- Oversees the maintenance and repair of the facility, equipment, electrical, and mechanical systems and reports any issues that may occur promptly.
- Acquire, distribute, and store center supplies.
- Provide Orientation Training to all new Center Personnel on facility operations, health, and safety.
- Prepare and maintain attendance records, personnel records, and records needed for biweekly payroll, etc.
