Summary
The Gathering Place For Kids is seeking a vibrant, motivated teacher assistant.
Duties
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing weekly lesson plans
- Assist in providing activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the development levels of the children.
- Maintain a fun, safe and organized learning environment
- Support the social and emotional development of children
- Engage in active play with children. Interact with children in a way that conveys respect.
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitization of the child care rooms
- Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis
- Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
- Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead teacher and Director
Requirements
High School Graduate or GED
Reliable Transportation
Must be at least 18 years of age
Background checks are required
