Summary

The Sandbox is looking for experienced, passionate and qualified infant room teacher to work with ages 3 months to 13 months.


The hours are 8:30-5:30 with 1 hour lunch, Monday- Friday. Benefits are available for full-time staff including paid early childhood workshops, sick pay, vacation pay, free childcare, health insurance, etc... Please send your resume for consideration and we look forward to connecting with you.

Duties

We help train with all of these Duties.

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for infants, along with the other teacher in the room.

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow

- Conduct individual and group activities to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians using "Teaching Strategies GOLD"

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones

Requirements

-Must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card

-Must have your high school diploma or equivalent

-Must be able to lift 40lbs.

-Must have 6 months Experience in a childcare setting

-Must enjoy working with children

Nice To Haves

We would prefer someone with experience but we also will train our new teachers.

- Previous experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting

- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices

- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development

- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for children

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues

- Understanding of child development stages and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly


Skills:

- Literacy education: Promote early literacy skills through storytelling, reading activities, and language development exercises.

- Experience with children: Demonstrate an understanding of child behavior, needs, and appropriate interactions.

- Physical education: Incorporate physical activities into daily routines to promote gross motor skills development.

- Special education: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the individual needs of students with special needs or disabilities.

- Childcare: Ensure the safety, well-being, and proper care of children in the classroom.

- Lesson planning: Create engaging lesson plans that align with educational objectives and meet the needs of diverse learners. Using our Creative Curriculum materials.

- Child welfare: Promote the overall well-being and welfare of children in the classroom.

- Toddler care: Provide age-appropriate care for toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines.

Benefits

Starting pay is $15.50 per hour without experience


With experience $16.00 and up depending on how much experience and education


Paid early childhood workshops, sick pay, vacation pay, free childcare, health insurance



Salary : $15.50 to $17.50/Hr
