  • experience working in a licensed childcare facility
  • a high school diploma or equivalent
  • coursework or a degree in early childhood education or child development or a CDA
  • the ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience

Duties

  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning, creativity, and social development.
  • Monitor and track children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on milestones.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom, maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Provide nurturing care, guiding children in developing positive behaviors, self-regulation, and healthy relationships.
  • Facilitate both structured and unstructured play to encourage learning and problem-solving.
  • Help children develop social skills through group activities, communication, sharing, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure a unified approach to child development.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and behavior.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline strategies to maintain a calm and respectful environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months Experience in Licensed Facility

High School Diploma
