Summary
Responsible for providing Practice Based Coaching and support for Head Start and Early Head Start programs, as well as supporting staff on the use of effective teaching practices that promote positive outcomes for children.
Duties
- Implement Practice Based Coaching model to fidelity.
- Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with teaching staff for the purpose of supporting growth through the coaching cycle.
- Develop and maintain schedules to support the Practice Based Coaching cycle.
- Engage in focused observation and provide supportive and constructive feedback to support strengthening effective instructional practices.
- Encourage, support, motivate and work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement on-going goals.
- Provide the level of support needed to meet established goals. This may include modeling, co-teaching, observing, providing materials or resources as needed.
- Utilize specific evidence-based tools such as CLASS, Creative Curriculum Fidelity Tool, T-POT/TPITOS etc. to support meeting goals and supporting positive outcomes for children.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Understand needs of individual children with respect to their development and its relationship to learning and socialization
- Well versed in practices such as Pyramid Model and CLASS
Nice To Haves
- Head Start/Early Head Start experience
- Minimum of 3 years lead teaching experience in a child-centered classroom
