This position is responsible for the instruction and development of children in order to meet their academic, emotional, mental, social and physical needs. The Lead Teacher must be willing to work with the Assistant teacher, provide a positive classroom atmosphere, comply with all rules set forth by the Department of Human Services and the facility.
Create an educational environment that encourages student learning and allows free choice play
· Create daily lesson plans as related to Tennessee Early Learning Development Skills (TN-ELDS).
· Prepare instructional materials for classroom geared toward students interests and abilities
· Create monthly calendar with attached curriculum
· Supervise and maintain safety of all students in the classroom and various places throughout the preschool at all times
· Follow and implement guidance policy and behavior modification plans
· Conduct parent/teacher conferences
· Communicate daily with parents during pick up/drop off and through app
· Maintain accurate and complete records and daily role keeping
· Performing other related duties as assigned or directed
