Holy Comforter Episcopal Preschool and Kindergarten (HCEP&K) is dedicated to providing a lively, creative, loving, and safe environment that gives each child the opportunity to develop a sense of self-worth, self-understanding, and self-expression. Our integrated curriculum encourages the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development of children. Teachers provide a balance of activities and develop individual goals for the children so that each child receives the attention, challenges and successes they need. Play is the heart of our preschool curriculum. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director for our school to be responsible for the overall management of the preschool and kindergarten program, including curriculum development, staff supervision, parent engagement, and compliance with licensing regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to early childhood education.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Lead and mentor teaching staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration
  • Build positive relationships with parents, families, the church, and the community
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations and licensing requirements
  • Manage budgets, resources, and facilities effectively
  • Conduct regular assessments of program quality and outcomes
  • Organize and participate in family engagement events and activities

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 4 years in a lead teacher role
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in early childhood education
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Nice To Haves

Master’s in Early Childhood Education, or Business /Education Administration preferred
