Summary


Willowcreek Academy was established in December 2003 at our Centreville, VA location. Willowcreek Academy provides exceptional Early Childhood Educational programs, on a full time and part time basis, to children ages 4 weeks to 5 years. We also provide outstanding school aged child daycare. This care incorporates programs that occur before and after our community school's sessions, on a full and part time basis, during school closures, and Summer Camp programs. Our faculty is comprised entirely of degreed and credentialed Teachers who have a minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience. Our teachers supported by Assistant Teachers who meet the Virginia Licensing regulations as "group leader" or teachers. In addition, Willowcreek Academy supports further education, and will assist staff seeking to become degreed or credentialed in Early Childhood Education and related fields. Willowcreek Academy promotes continual education, training, and ensuring staff is current in Early Childhood Education trends, developmentally appropriate practices, and research. The staff is supported by a management team who are all degreed and have years of teaching experience. Their teaching backgrounds are comprised of work in daycare, preschools, elementary schools, and abroad. Our staff is diverse, coming from various backgrounds and cultures. Duties

Responsibilities:

-Must assist the Preschool Teacher implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children

- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child

- Conduct regular assessments to track progress and identify areas for improvement

- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education

- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

- Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children

- Strong classroom management skills

- Knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and best practices

- Ability to educate and engage young learners through creative teaching methods

- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development

- Familiarity with literacy education and early childhood development principles

- Additional tutoring or physical education experience is a plus

Assistant Pay is $13.50 to $19.75 to start

Prior experience and education will adjust starting rate.
