Lead Teachers

Summary

We are looking for credentialed teachers (CDA, TCC or Higher Education ONLY) for our Pre-School and Toddler 2 classes.

We need team members that are self-directed, self-reflective with a strong growth-mindset and a knack for taking ownership while collaborating with others. The ideal candidate has previously worked with young students and partnered with their families and caretakers for their students’ success, both inside and outside of the classroom. Candidates should be committed to building off home partnerships and exhausting all options and resources (within reason) to helping students grow. We need teachers that aren’t afraid to try new approaches to problem-solving, partnering with peers, and offering your unique perspective to improve educational spaces and organizations. We are looking for educators that are excited about what the day will look like for their students. We are looking for educators that are dedicated to inspiring, educating and nurturing young minds. Duties

• Creating and implementing lessons; tracking student progress for individualization 
• Collaborating with other educators on approaches and strategies for student and family success
• Collaborate with AE on individual student strategies and classroom management 
• Partnering with families on student success via quarterly check-in meetings; leads these meetings 
• Contribute to knowledge building through leading AE in documentation of activities 
• Partner with Adult Learning AD to create learning moments during all-staff meetings
• Communicate schedule with staff to allow for appropriate planning when possible 

Requirements

• Reliable transportation (public/private) to get to/from work as scheduled
• Be able to pass a background check
• CDA/TCC/Degree
• Physically able to actively interact with children (getting up/down from the floor, lift at least 25lbs, stamina to stand for extended periods
• Flexibility to change work schedule and/or classroom assignment as needed
• Current CPR First Aid Certificate
• Must take "continuing education" classes as required

Nice To Haves

• Speak and teach a foreign language
• Play and teach a musical instrument (i.e. a piano)
• Certified to be an Assistant Teacher in the Georgia Pre-K Program
• Certified to teach a martial art
