Early Childhood - Infant Teacher

Summary

We are seeking energetic, creative educators to lead an infant room. The ideal candidate will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age-appropriate milestones and demonstrate good judgment in caring for and playing with each infant/toddler. The ideal candidate also has an excitement for learning and is patient, calm, and flexible.

Duties

• Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care
• Give bottles to infants as provided by parents
• Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents
• Change diapers as needed
• Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
• Mimic infant sounds,talk to infants, and read books
• Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
• Put infants in cribs for nap time
• Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean

Requirements

• Meet annual professional development requirements
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• Must pass a Federal Government background check and a health screening
• Must be a US citizen
