Summary

The Program Administrator reports directly and collaborates with the Director of Programs. They will support eight classrooms and the teachers that work in them. This person will be tasked with coordinating and implementing classroom events. They will ensure that our teachers and classrooms are fully equipped with everything in order to be successful, including supplies, technology and meals. 


This role is perfect for someone who is highly organized with experience in data entry, and inventory management. If you are someone who loves details, building relationships, is passionate about early education, this is the perfect position for you!



Duties

Core responsibilities

·        Organizing and maintaining all teacher and student files to comply with licensing regulations

·        Scheduling of teachers and their time off, assigning substitutes and ensuring full classroom coverage at all times

·        Maintain all licensing policies in classrooms at all times and oversee all onsite program directors

·        Planning program-related events such as end-of-year celebrations

·        Ordering all classroom supplies and maintaining an accurate inventory list across all eight classrooms

·        Scheduling outside trainers for professional development days, organizing the schedule of trainings and providing logistical support for them

·        Data entry and accurate record keeping of all classroom-related purchases

·        Support teachers with technology, including training on curriculum software and organizing requests to outside IT consultants

·        Support the Director of Programs with Professional Development Administrative Support

·        Assist the Director of Programs with Data Management and Analysis 

Requirements

Qualifications

·        2+ years experience in program administration, preferably in the early childhood field

·        Demonstrated excellence in organizational, logistical, and communication skills

·        Knowledge of high-level regulatory requirements for national, state and local best practices and environments in early childhood education

·        Mastery of Excel

·        Bilingual English and Spanish

The position is a 10 month full-time position, and is based in Alexandria, Virginia. The role requires travel between classroom sites throughout the city. We are in-person and have been during COVID-19. The salary for this position ranges from $45,000-$48,000 with exact salary depending on experience. We also offer excellent benefits such as 401k contributions, two weeks off for December break, one week off for Spring Break, summers off, 10 paid holidays, additional time off, flex time, family leave policy, and a bonus option.
