Forest Hill Presbyterian Church Child Care Center is licensed by the State of Virginia and has been a part of the community for about 60 years.

Our goals include the following:

Provide a warm Christian atmosphere for children emphasizing Christian themes and objectives.

Provide a needed service to the community

Encourage harmonious working relationships between child care center staff, church staff and church members.

We have part-time and full-time teacher roles available in the following classrooms:

• Toddler Classroom (18 months -2 years)
• Two/Three's Classroom
• PreK Classroom

Duties

AVAILABLE NOW - Part-time 18-month teacher to work weekday mornings.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervising young children in a classroom setting
• Creating and implementing lesson plans
• Maintaining a clean learning environment
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing company standards
• Communicate directly with parents to achieve success for the child
• Maintain a fun and interactive environment

Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Have experience in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Satisfactory applicant background per state regulations

Nice To Haves

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Richmond, VA 23225: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

About Us

The Forest Hill Presbyterian Church Child Care Center is sponsored by the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

We accept children, ages 18 months through 10 years. The center is open from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. five days per week (and is closed on some holidays).

FHPC Child Care Center, as a ministry of FHPC, exists to nurture a love of learning in the children, to prepare children for a transition into school, and to build relationships with families in the community by sharing God’s truth and love.
