Summary
The Agency Substitute position provides the necessary coverage in the Center classrooms when agency employees are absent due to illness or approved time off. Agency substitutes must be flexible in their work schedule, have a basic understanding of child growth and development, and have an interest in children ages 6 months- 5 years of age. Agency Substitutes also need to be able to adapt quickly to a variety of early childhood ages and classrooms.
Duties
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a group setting
- Good communications skills
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must meet State of NH requirements for the position including a combination of experience and related college credits (9-including Child Growth & Development-with an agreement to take additional courses - the agency will fund this cost)
- Must clear a full background check and must pass a health screening.
