Lil' Sunshine Child Care Center is a brand new center that just opened in October of 2024. We are currently looking to expand our team! This position is a part time role, for 20 hours a week. Flexible schedule options, PTO, paid holidays, and other benefits available.
Duties
The Part Time Early Childhood Educator plays a vital role in nurturing and educating our youngest learners (ages 6 weeks to 3 years months) at Lil’ Sunshine Child Care Center. In this role, you will assist teachers to create a warm, stimulating environment that fosters each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. You will collaborate closely with the teaching team to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for all our infants or toddlers.
Requirements
Ideal candidates meet the following requirements:
At least eighteen (18) years of age, is a high school graduate or has completed a GED, and meets one (1) of the following qualifications:
- At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level One (1) or Two (2) Certificate; or
- At least a current CDA (Child Development Associate) and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger.
- At least a State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or 97
- At least successful completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals’ course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or
- At least successful completion of a three (3) college credit course in child or human development or a three (3) college credit course for school age care and education and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger.

Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an infant or toddler care setting.
- Strong understanding of infant and toddler development milestones and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certifications.
